Information you give us

If you email Piggi, we use your email address, message and any name you provide to answer you. Please leave confidential information out of your message.

If you subscribe, we use your company name, delivery email, chosen competitor websites, briefing cadence and any research priorities you submit to provide your briefings. We also use the billing and subscription information needed to manage payments, receipts and cancellations. The payment provider handles the payment details entered at checkout.

Your company and research priorities help us decide what is relevant to you. They remain private customer context, separate from shared public-source research and other customers’ briefings.

The public sample can be read without giving us an email address. Asking a question does not subscribe you to marketing.

Incomplete signup forms

The signup form saves company, email, competitor entries, briefing preference and completion status as you type, before you submit. We use these records to preserve your progress and understand where signup is left unfinished. Unsubmitted research notes stay in your browser; we record only whether that field has been filled.

Saving a draft does not create a paid subscription or give permission to send marketing email. The form explains draft saving and provides a Clear draft control. We keep incomplete signup records for 30 days after your last edit. You can delete your saved draft sooner using Clear draft.

Discoveries newsletter

The discoveries newsletter is optional and separate from paid briefings. If you opt in, we use your email address to send a confirmation link and, after confirmation, anonymised discoveries and product updates. We record the consent wording, request, confirmation and unsubscribe dates.

You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter. Unsubscribing from marketing does not cancel paid briefings or essential account messages. Starting a signup, asking a question or buying a subscription does not automatically add you to the newsletter.

Research and published examples

We collect publicly accessible business information to research competitors. Source material can include names or professional information published by others. We retain relevant source excerpts, webpage captures, URLs and observation dates to support findings and compare changes; public availability does not mean unrestricted reuse.

Our discoveries articles and newsletter may feature anonymised research examples, including research conducted for our own sample companies. We review examples for identifying details before publication and do not publish your submitted research priorities or private account information.

Why we use it

We use this information to deliver briefings, answer questions, resolve delivery or billing problems, administer subscriptions and optional history purchases, manage newsletter preferences and meet applicable record-keeping requirements.

Service providers

Enquiries are handled through our business email provider. The briefing service also uses providers for email delivery, payments and analysis of public business information.

We remain the contact for questions about Piggi’s use of your information.

Website and email records

This website does not run analytics or advertising trackers. Account access uses a sign-in session cookie. Signup uses browser storage to preserve your draft. These support the service rather than advertising. We record email acceptance, delivery failures and unsubscribe events to manage delivery and respect your choices. When you email Piggi, your email service and our business email provider process your message and the associated delivery records.

How long information stays

Contact messages are kept for up to 90 days after the question is resolved. Subscription records are kept while the service is active and for up to 90 days afterwards for support and closure. Delivery troubleshooting metadata is kept for up to 90 days. Billing records needed for legal or accounting obligations are kept for the required period.

Weekly archive access ends when the relevant competitor’s paid period ends. Losing archive access is separate from deletion of underlying research or billing records. A purchased history download does not extend archive access.

Your choices

Contact info@piggi.ca to ask for access to your information, correct it, request deletion or discuss how Piggi uses it. We may need to verify that a request comes from the right person. We will explain if a legal record-keeping requirement means a record must be retained.

Newsletter unsubscribe, subscription cancellation and a request to delete information are separate actions. Cancelling stops future renewal for the competitors selected; it does not automatically erase records we still need for support, billing or your stated email preferences.

To stop future subscription charges, use the cancellation method in the Terms.

Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. If a change introduces an additional use of your information that needs your choice, we will ask for that choice before applying it.
